Roadmap of
the project IMMM
/
- Collaborations in a community:
- Medical collaboration:
- Call for medical partners willing to try to use the project and
to provide advices about further developements.
- Medical challenges in the ISfTeH, International Society for
Telemedicine, medical student associations, teachers in the
healthcare domain, etc..., in contexts as training of junior doctor
and nurses, in different types of organizations as general
practice, emergency entrance, oncology, in different cultural
environments, ...
- Technical collaborations:
- Call for technical partners sharing distributed developements on
https://github.com/saliez/IMMM
. An Open Source strategy, sharing technical know-how with partners
in the public domain.
- Technical challenge in informatics about complex information
management, here in the medical domain, but probably also useful in
other domains.
- Potential subjects for multidisciplinary thesis. This very large
project must be divided in work packages.
- Funding:
- First an experimental prototype is essential:
- A prototype on Internet. As proof of concept, a mandatory
condition before useful contacts will become possible at the
medical side.
- Very useful to discover the practical modalities of the current
provisional perspectives.
- At the initial stage the most critical resource is the
programming of a minimum of demo.
- See the preliminary elements of
prototypes.
- A credible prototype and an international community of interested
users makes possible to contact potential sponsors.
- Public authorities as European Commission, development programs,
health Ministries, NHS, Walloon Region, etc....
- Welfare foundations.
- Maybe a call for crowd funding.
- Support services can be charged to users.
- More professional versions:
- Many improvement where man-machine interfaces are at the
foreground.
- Implementation of security.
- Versioning since delete are not allowed in multidisciplinary
multi-stakeholder environments.
- Modular architecture including synchronization compatible with
unreliable Internet in developing countries.
- Packaged versions.
- Quality certifications.
- Legal issues and responsibilities ?
- Organization of support services:
- Support services are critical for the acceptance by medical
organizations.
- Users must take care of installation and maintenance costs related to
their installation.
- Professional users with real patients will have no license costs for
Open Source software available in the public domain. However they may
provide donations in order to accelerate the development of specific
extensions according to their own local requirements, but which will
remain in the public domain.
