CHOS-WG Scenario: User Main Menu

- Introduction:
- A summary of the most usual actions available to a user
having a user session.
- Available activities and their status:
- Most usual activities:
- Patient:
- Search for one patient, by means of record number, or by
means
of identification descriptors.
- Get a selected list of a particular group of patients,
if currently any patient in it, typically:
- Previous records opened today,
- Patients having an appointment today.
- Reminder of current critical patients.
- Patient having a report waiting for medical
validation.
- Reminder of patients who should get a vaccination.
- Patient having asked a visit at home.
- .......
- However the content of the record will be available only as
far as allowed by the Role Based Access Rules.
- Cases:
- Search on a case nr.
- Get a selected list as above but focusing on cases and
things to be
done. Some typical lists:
- Work list of lab tests waiting to be performed on a
given department of a lab.
- Work list of waiting nursing activities.
- ...
- In general cases are indirectly linked to patients and on
request one could from here also open the related patient record.
- Messages:
- Access to messages and notifications.
- If possible some hints showing directly if new message are
available, and if new urgent
messages are waiting.
- A notification can contain a link to a document already
available in a patient record.
- Agenda:
- Access to existing appointments:
- Clicking on a patient name will open the patient record.
- Access to the planning of appointments
- Access to knowledge bases:
- Some typical sites to have at hand:
- Regional healthcare resources, emergency services,
regional hospitals, pharmacies,
- US National Library of Medicine, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/

- Possibility to see and to modify the personal preferences.
